As a part of the teacher training course at Agastya Gurukulam, I truly appreciate the unique and holistic approach with which the programme is designed. The training has provided me with a broader perspective on teaching, integrating both theoretical understanding and yet to get the practical experience.
The emphasis on experiential learning, child-centred pedagogy, and hands-on activities has significantly shaped my outlook as an educator. The sessions are well-structured, engaging, and thoughtfully aligned with real-life classroom needs. The mentors are supportive and approachable, creating a positive environment that encourages reflection, collaboration, and continuous growth.
What stands out the most is the programme’s focus on nurturing not just teaching skills but also personal values such as patience, empathy, creativity. These aspects have contributed greatly to my professional and personal development.
The core components of Sanskrit language and English with the choice of texts have been highly enriching. The methodology sessions helped me understand how to blend modern approaches with Gurukula Paddhati using models like Panchadi and the 5E model. The module on modern classroom challenges was an eye-opener, introducing me to new technical terms and contemporary educational vocabulary, which expanded my understanding significantly. These insights are helping me to become more aware of the realities of today’s digital learning environment and practical classroom realities.
Electives like Ithihassa sessions are a superhit, revealing many uncovered truths and deepening my cultural understanding.
My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all the Acharyas for their efforts in arranging insightful guest speakers, which is greatly enriching my overall learning experience.
